Description

Abstract: This is a transcription of a Spanish letter from Silvestre Pérez to José Nicolás de Azara, dated 1/1/1800. The first royal architect thanks to the Minister Azara his letter of recommendation with which he has obtained the post of undersecretary at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando and he gets the commission to draw the Royal Sites too. He also asked to participate in reviewing the project of translating the Memorie degli Architetti antichi e moderni (Memoirs of the architects) by Francisco Milizia into Spanish, considering it to be a fundamental work in teaching in Spain.

Resumen: Esta es una transcripción de una carta en español de Silvestre Pérez dirigida a José Nicolás de Azara, fechada el 1 de enero de 1800. El Primer arquitecto del Rey agradece al diplomático Azara su recomendación para ser nombrado vicesecretario de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, y de haber recibido el encargo de dibujar los Reales Sitios. En la misma, también le pide participar en revisar el proyecto de traducir las Memorie degli Architetti antichi e moderni (Memorias de los arquitectos) de Francisco Milizia al castellano por considerar que es una obra fundamental en la docencia en España.
